The Knaresborough Lions send thanks to everyone who helped make 2017 Bed Race a success
Members of Knaresborough Lions Club would like to send thanks to all those who contributed so much to making 2017 Great Knaresborough Bed Race such a success. These include all of the 250-plus volunteers who turned out on the day to help run the event and make sure that both Parade and Race went off smoothly, as well as those who aided the Lions in arrangements for scrutineering and at the Bottom Field, particularly those from St John Fisher's Catholic School, the Air Training Corps, Henshaws, HACS, Traffic Management Systems, GSPK, ALM Manufacturing and Transdev.
We would also wish to thank North Yorkshire Police for their extra vigilance, advice and organisation which kept us all safe on the day, and to other members of the Emergency Services, Nippers Nursery School for helping with lost children, St John Ambulance and Knaresborough First Responders. We thank our sponsors and advertisers for their invaluable support without which the event couldn't happen and the surplus funds for charity could not be produced.
And we would like to thanks everyone who came, watched, saw and, hopefully, hugely enjoyed themselves. See you next year! Remember, it is always the second Saturday in June.
